Dear Austrians, Dear Friends of Austria,
Please save the date for “AUSTRIA UNCORKED”! The Austrian wine tasting event on May 3rd at the Officers Club in San Francisco will feature wines from more than 80 Austrian wineries. Austrian cheeses, charcuterie, entrees and desserts will make the perfect food pairing!
Austria's riches are not a secret to those in the know. Environmentalists recognize Austria as the birthplace of organic farming. Austria has more land per capita devoted to eco-friendly food production than any other country in Europe. Thanks to its varied topography, which ranges from the Alps to the Danube river valley, Austria is comprised of dramatically different regions where the fruits of the land, including our great variety of grapes, are treasured.
Please find out more about “AUSTRIA UNCORKED," our choice of film and music events, and the new Austrian Internet-Encyclopedia by scrolling down our newsletter. Make sure not to miss “The Invisible Siegfrieds Marching Sunset” by Austrian artist Georg Nussbaumer, an extravagant performance which will take place from April 17th - 20th on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
Karin Proidl
